RULES OF COMPETITION


•Competitors will appear on the stage in the alphabetic order of their surnames.


•The 2010 Competition will start with competitors whose surnames start with the letter "A"

•All performances during the Competition are open to the public.


•The prizewinners are obliged to participate in the Prizegiving and Prizewinners Concert, otherwise they will lose their right to the prize awarded.


•The organiser of the Competition reserves all the rights to radio and TV recordings.


•All competitors are asked to report to the organiser's office an hour before the beginning of the Competition, presenting a valid proof of identity.


•Competitors will not be allowed to make changes in the programme stated in the application form.


•The competitors who have already won the First Prize in a certain Category in a former International Competition for Young Pianists “Zlatko Grgošević” may not compete again in the same category.


•By sending in their application form the candidates declare to abide by the Rules of the Competition.


•Incomplete application forms, as well as those not supported by the required documents, will not be considered.


•Every candidate will be given a chance to practise before their performance and to try the piano in the competition hall.


•Applicants will be duly informed about their admission and schedule of performances no later than March 30th, 2010.


•The competitors shall present their programme from memory and with no repetitions.


•The Jury will be comprised of outstanding Croatian and international pianists and pedagogues.


•In the event of withdrawal by a member of the Jury, the organiser will be entitled to substitute a new member.


•Members of the Jury shall abstain from voting if related to the competitor or if the competitor is their student.


•The Jury will assess the quality of each competitor's performance according to the Jury's Rules for Assessment.


•If the contestant overrun the time limit, the Jury has right to stop a candidate's performance.


•All decisions made by the Jury shall be final and incontestable.


•"Zagreb " Award competition will be organised every four year. Next „Zagreb“ Award competition will be held in 2012.


•The Jury will grant money awards to the competitors with the highest number of points in their respective categories if competitor has won first prize. Other awarded competitors will be given diplomas, and the remaining competitors will be given certificates.


•The competitors are entitled to a special award.


•The organiser of the Competition, the Zlatko Grgošević Music School , Open University "Sesvete", has the right to amend the Rules.


•The Competition Board shall decide on any issue not covered by the Rules or in case of a dispute arising from their interpretation.


•In case of doubt the Croatian language version of these Rules shall be used in interpreting and clarifying its provisions.
