The sixth International Competition for young pianists


Rules of entry

The competition is open to pianists of any nationality, regardless of their level and type of education (Music Academy, conservatoire, music school, private school, private lessons).

The competition comprises five categories:


Category A - born in or after 2000
-a programme of the competitor’s own choice which should comprise a piece by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven *
- an 8 minute (maximum) recital

category B - born in or after 1998
-a programme of the competitor’s own choice which should comprise a piece by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven *
- a 10 minute (maximum) recital

category C - born in or after 1996
-a programme of the competitor’s own choice which should comprise a piece by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven *
- a 12 to 15 minute recital

category D - born in or after 1994
-a programme of the competitor’s own choice which should comprise a piece by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven *
- a 14-17 minute recital

category E - born in or after 1991
-a programme of the competitor’s own choice which should comprise a piece by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven *
-a 20-25 minute recital


* Competitors can perform one or more compositions by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven , or one or more movements from Sonata by J.Haydn, W.A.Mozart or L.van Beethoven


"Zagreb " Award competition takes place every four years. Next „Zagreb“ Award competition will be held in 2012.
